Platform teams need to enable application teams deploy to Kubernetes without requiring them to become experts. Application teams are looking for familiar concepts like environment promotion and aren't interested in learning extraneous concepts. This goes for a number of other common needs like managing database changes, rollbacks, and more. Octopus has years of experience in the heritage and modern application space to bridge this.
