It’s a cloud-first world. Discover the innovations that will help you step boldly into the future of work at Citrix Synergy 2019 May 21–23, 2019 in Atlanta, GA

Big news out of Citrix Synergy this year!  Citrix wants to make the 'everyday employee' user experience better.

At Citrix Synergy, the Citrix annual user conference which took place last week at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Citrix made several announcements over the course of the three day event.  But, the company aimed to make it quite clear that Citrix products should be an ideal option for all users, not just the power users or those in IT.  By the end of day one, it was also clear that Citrix was placing a major focus around the Citrix Workspace product.  If you haven’t seen it before, Workspace essentially provides an organized view of your available applications, documents, messaging, tasks and more; and provides users with secure access to their Web, SaaS, Windows, Linux and mobile apps.

In this video interview, VMblog speaks with Carisa Stringer, senior director of product marketing for the Citrix virtual apps and desktop products, while at Citrix Synergy 2019 in Atlanta, GA.

Carisa Stringer provides a deeper look at some of the Citrix Workspace announcements made at Citrix Synergy. Citrix has added a layer of intelligence into Workspace to take things to the next level. They have also added a new micro app builder into the product to more easily allow users to integrate their applications into the Citrix Workspace environment. Stringer also talks about their work with Microsoft on Office integration, optimizing Teams in a virtual environment, and synchronizing the intelligence to quickly work between the various interfaces, and finally, extending support and benefits to Citrix Workspace with Windows Virtual Desktop capabilities. And Stringer also dives deeper into the explanation of performance analytics now added into Workspace.

While at Citrix Synergy 2019 in Atlanta, GA, VMblog spoke with Sridhar Mullapudi, SVP of products, managing Workspace services and the Apps team at Citrix.

Watch as Sridhar Mullapudi provides more detail into the Workspace platform. One of the interesting things announced was building intelligence into Workspace, and building a platform of work. The product comes with a host of micro-apps, but Citrix has built in support for partners and application providers to build their vertical specific needs and apps themselves. And what is going to be happening over the next 6 months. Mullapudi also goes into more detail as to what Citrix is doing within the security space such as the new keylogger blocking technology, as well as what they are doing within networking and multi-cloud.

In this video interview, VMblog speaks with PJ Hough, Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Citrix, while at Citrix Synergy 2019 in Atlanta, GA.

PJ Hough provides more details around a number of different announcements made at Citrix Synergy. Hough starts off with one of the major announcements at the show, Citrix Workspace, describing a whole new set of capabilities in Workspace, and a new set of intelligent experiences. He also details several big announcements made around networking. And finally, concludes with a discussion around cloud, providing insight into what Citrix is doing with Microsoft and Azure, Google Cloud, and more.

In this video interview, VMblog speaks with Tim Minahan, Executive Vice President, Business Strategy and Chief Marketing Officer at Citrix, while at Citrix Synergy 2019 in Atlanta, GA.

Minahan covers a number of items discussed throughout the course of Citrix Synergy, specifically: the shifting focus from IT management to the employee experience, presenting employees with a digital workspace that gives them everything they need to be productive in one unified experience; securing the individual user rather than just the environment with new key logging security and screen capture protection; and finally, better supporting the cloud journey by supporting customer's hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.

Watch and learn more as VMblog and Minahan dive into each of these three areas.
