KubeCon 2019 Q&A: DivvyCloud Will Showcase Its Comprehensive and Innovative Approach to Protect Cloud and Container Environments at Booth P17

Written by

Are you attending KubeCon 2019 in San Diego in November?  If so, I invite you to add DivvyCloud to your MUST SEE list of vendors.

KubeCon 2019 is shaping up to be a fantastic event!  And the number of sponsoring vendors at this year's show is extremely impressive as the show continues to grow in scope and size!  One of the companies that will be on VMblog's MUST SEE list this year at the event is DivvyCloud.  DivvyCloud protects cloud and container environments from misconfigurations, policy violations, threats, and IAM challenges. With automated, real-time remediation, DivvyCloud customers achieve continuous security and compliance, and can fully realize the benefits of cloud and container technology.

Read this exclusive pre-show interview between VMblog and DivvyCloud to learn what they have planned for the upcoming KubeCon North America 2019 event and why you need to visit their booth.

VMblog:  As a KubeCon 2019 sponsor, how can people find you at the show?

DivvyCloud:  DivvyCloud is a Platinum Sponsor, booth # P17, 10x20 custom booth. We will have 12 DivvyCloud staff at Kubcon and Cloud-Native Security Day

VMblog:  If an attendee likes what they see and hear at your booth... what message about your product can you send them back with to sell their boss on your technology?

DivvyCloud:  DivvyCloud software is designed to be agentless and standalone. You can apply it to any computing environment - public cloud or private software-defined infrastructure. The way DivvyCloud interacts with the host environment and Kubernetes is by way of their respective
APIs. DivvyCloud continuously interacts with the APIs to gather information about the state of the hosts and the Kubernetes clusters of interest. These hosts can be Google Cloud, AWx`S, Azure, or a private data center that can expose infrastructure information via an API.

Once DivvyCloud is set up and targeted at the relevant host and Kubernetes clusters, it starts pulling down data about the environments - servers, security groups, load balancers, network-attached stores, S3 buckets, and any resource that is exposed via an API. This information is then unified into a single data model that represents the infrastructure and represents containment holistically.

VMblog:  What are some of the reasons why you believe a KubeCon attendee should add you to their MUST SEE list?

DivvyCloud:  Because they will have an opportunity to see DivvyCloud automation in action. DivvyCloud allows developers to engage in more experimentation and innovation. It provides the trust and verification that system administrators need to ensure that work is being done according to industry standard security guidelines and well-established best practices.

We will be able to show KubeCon attendees how automated remediation technology is a powerful tool for companies that use Kubernetes to get quality software into the hands of customers at web scale.

DivvyCloud and its holistic approach to supporting the CIS Benchmarks for Kubernetes provide a competitive advantage that is unequaled for companies that put Kubernetes at the forefront of their digital infrastructure.

VMblog:  Thinking about your company, give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique.
