VMworld 2018 Q&A: Vembu Showcases Its Powerful Backup, Replication and Disaster Recovery Solution at Booth 2133

With so many vendors exhibiting at VMworld, how do you know which booths to visit and who to get on your busy schedule?  One of the companies on VMblog's list these last few years has been Vembu Technologies.  For some time now, I've had the pleasure of closely following and working with the team at Vembu Technologies as their product has grown and matured.  And next month, I look forward to meeting with them face-to-face once again at VMworld to find out what's new and see their backup, recovery, and replication solution up close and in action.

VMblog:  As a VMworld 2018 sponsor, how can people find you this year?

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?  What should attendees expect to see and hear at your booth?

Vembu:  We are introducing Vembu Business Essentials exclusively for SMBs having 6 Physical CPU Sockets or lesser in their VMware or Hyper-V hosts. It provides you a complete and an all-round data protection experience at a price that can easily fit into their business budget. Vembu Business essential is available for both Enterprise and Standard editions.

During the last VMworld event, we displayed v3.8 of Vembu BDR Suite, and in this event we will be demonstrating our latest release v3.9.1 which is loaded with many forefront & interesting features. Also, we have planned to give a little sneak peak into our v4.0 edition and what one can expect from that release.

Other than our v4.0, we are also gearing up for Vembu BDR with storage level snapshots for the primary storage devices like NetApp, HP and more. A Beta program is in works and we are working to get it out to our customers in fourth quarter.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the VMware ecosystem?

Vembu:  Vembu is providing backup, replication and disaster recovery solution for the virtual machines running in VMware environments.

VMblog:  What are you looking forward to most at VMworld this year?

Vembu:  VMworld is a significant platform where experts and tech enthusiasts from all over the globe come together under one roof, for their passion and interest in learning about constantly evolving technologies. We are quite excited about meeting such a varied audience and also look forward to exploring more about customer's data protection requirements by engaging with as many audience as possible.

VMblog:  What do you think we need to do collectively as an ecosystem to strengthen the industry?

Vembu:  Staying true to the technical geeks that we are, we should think about the larger picture while constantly innovating our product which will enable business continuity to the maximum.

VMblog:  What do you hope to come away with from exhibiting at VMworld?

Vembu:  We hope to strengthen our position in this industry via VMworld event. Also to reach out to all the backup enthusiasts to know more on user requirements and ultimately keep innovating and finetune our product.

VMblog:  Do you have any tips for first time attendees of VMworld that you'd like to share?

Vembu:  As one might know VMworld is an unique event of its' kind. We would only suggest the attendees to plan their timeline well in advance as there are a lot of events taking place.The scope to explore and learn varied technologies is at the best at VMworld.
