NerdioCon 2025: Shaping the Future of Cloud IT with Expanded Focus on MSPs and Enterprise Leaders in Palm Springs

Written by

In the rapidly evolving landscape of cloud computing and modern workplace solutions, Nerdio is positioning its NerdioCon 2025 as a landmark event for both MSP partners and enterprise IT leaders. Set against the inspiring backdrop of Palm Springs, this expanded conference promises to deliver a powerful blend of technical expertise, strategic insights, and valuable networking opportunities.

VMblog recently caught up with Will Ominsky, VP of MSP Growth at Nerdio, to discuss the vision behind NerdioCon 2025, what attendees can expect, and how this event aims to empower organizations to navigate the complexities of cloud operations, Azure management, and virtual desktop infrastructure. From hands-on technical labs and certification opportunities to thought leadership from Microsoft executives and industry experts, NerdioCon 2025 will be an essential destination for anyone looking to drive cloud-first transformation in their organization.

VMblog: NerdioCON 2025 represents an important milestone for Nerdio. What was the strategic vision behind creating this inaugural physical event, and why did you choose Palm Springs as the destination?

Will Ominsky:  NerdioCon 2025 marks an exciting evolution in how we bring our growing community together. While NerdioCon has always been an in-person event, this year we're expanding our reach to welcome enterprise IT leaders alongside our MSP partners. Our goal remains the same: to create a destination experience that blends deep technical content with strategic insights, all in a setting designed to spark connection and innovation. Palm Springs offers the perfect backdrop - warm, inspiring, and built for meaningful conversations that move the industry forward.

VMblog: Could you provide an overview of NerdioCON 2025's main objectives and what attendees can expect to experience during their time at the conference?

Ominsky:  NerdioCon 2025 is all about empowering our partners and customers with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to grow and succeed in the cloud era. Attendees can expect three action-packed days of technical deep dives, best practice sessions, customer-led stories, product roadmap previews, and meaningful networking. Our goal is to ensure every attendee walks away with both strategic insights and actionable takeaways they can apply right away.

As cloud computing continues to evolve, so do Nerdio's products. We're committed to staying ahead of the curve-and to providing the guidance and learning opportunities our community needs to do IT better, faster, and smarter.

VMblog: Who is the ideal attendee for NerdioCON 2025, and what roles or organizational positions would benefit most from participating?

Ominsky:  The event is designed for a diverse audience across the IT ecosystem. For MSPs, it's ideal for owners, technical sellers, technical leads, and service managers. On the enterprise side, we're seeing great interest from cloud architects, IT admins, and digital workplace leaders. Anyone involved in managing Azure, deploying virtual desktops, or looking to simplify cloud operations will find immense value. If you influence or execute cloud strategy - NerdioCon is for you.

VMblog: Can you walk us through the conference tracks and key themes? How did you structure the content to address current industry challenges and future trends?

Ominsky:  We've built three core tracks for NerdioCon 2025: one for MSPs, one for enterprises, and one that focuses on forward-looking innovation. Key themes include AI in IT operations, modern endpoint management, cost optimization in Azure, and navigating vendor consolidation. The agenda was shaped by feedback from our partner ecosystem, current market dynamics, and a strong focus on helping organizations stay ahead of change.

VMblog: What certifications, training opportunities, or hands-on labs will be available to attendees? How will these enhance their practical skills with Nerdio's solutions?

Ominsky:  We're offering hands-on technical labs led by Nerdio engineers, real-time demos, and guided walkthroughs of new features. Attendees will also have the opportunity to earn Nerdio certifications onsite - which not only build individual expertise but also demonstrate a partner's credibility to clients and prospects. These sessions are designed to be practical, interactive, and immediately applicable.

VMblog: Could you highlight some of the keynote speakers and industry experts who will be presenting? What unique insights will they bring to the conference?

Ominsky:  We're excited to welcome leaders from Microsoft, Nerdio customers, and our internal product experts to the mainstage - including Microsoft's Scott Manchester and Nina Harding, who represent the strength of our strategic partnership and shared vision for the future of Modern Work. Our CEO, Vadim Vladimirskiy, will open the conference with a look at what's next in Modern Work and Nerdio's growing role in shaping that landscape. Other speakers will dive into real-world insights on AI, EUC strategy, and navigating an evolving vendor ecosystem - all grounded in practical execution.

VMblog: How are you balancing technical content with business strategy sessions to ensure attendees get a comprehensive understanding of both aspects?

Ominsky:  We've been intentional about striking that balance. Technical breakout sessions will dive deep into product features, configurations, and best practices, while our strategy sessions will cover business growth, market trends, and leadership topics. This dual approach ensures that every attendee - whether they're in the weeds or setting direction - gets maximum value from the experience.

VMblog: What networking opportunities have you planned to help attendees connect with peers, industry experts, and the Nerdio team?

Ominsky:  Connection is a big focus. In addition to structured meetups, we've built in ample time for informal networking during meals, evening events, and in our expo area. We're also hosting curated sessions like partner roundtables and "Ask Me Anything" panels with Nerdio product leaders and key Microsoft leadership, so attendees can get direct access to the people shaping the future of the platform.

VMblog: Attendees of these types of events also like to have a bit of fun. Can you share details about any special events, social gatherings, or entertainment planned for attendees during their time in Palm Springs?

Ominsky:  Absolutely - we're bringing the fun too! From the welcome reception under the desert stars to themed evening parties and a keynote from a real-world astronaut, we're making sure attendees have time to unwind and enjoy themselves. We're planning activities that tie into the local flavor of Palm Springs, all while staying true to the energy and personality of Nerdio.

VMblog: What measures are you taking to ensure attendees can maximize their learning experience and easily implement new knowledge when they return to their organizations?

Ominsky:  Every session is designed with outcomes in mind. We're giving attendees access to session recordings, step-by-step guides, and templates they can take back to their teams. We're also hosting "office hours" and 1:1 expert consultations onsite to help attendees personalize what they learn for their specific environments.

VMblog: Will there be a vendor showcase or exhibition area? If so, what types of solutions and partners can attendees expect to engage with?

Ominsky:  Yes, we're hosting a vibrant Partner Pavilion featuring our top technology partners, solution providers, and vendors. Attendees will be able to explore complementary solutions, see new integrations in action, and discover tools that extend the value of Nerdio and Microsoft ecosystems.

VMblog: Looking beyond NerdioCON 2025, what long-term value do you envision this conference bringing to the Nerdio community and the broader IT industry?

Ominsky:  NerdioCon is more than a moment - it's a movement. We envision this event becoming the annual gathering place for forward-thinking IT professionals who are driving cloud-first transformation. It's a place to learn, share, grow, and shape the future of virtual desktop infrastructure, modern endpoint management, and beyond. As our community grows, so will the impact of this event.
