VMblog speaks with Trentent Tye of ControlUp during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

ControlUp is an ITOps analytics and management platform that helps ITOps teams to monitor, analyze and directly remediate problems in their on-premise, hybrid cloud and cloud infrastructures. ControlUp gives you deep visibility into the back end environment - Citrix/RDS/VMware servers or VDI. This capability provides a lot of information on how an environment is performing on the back end. They can even measure performance down to the application level.

ControlUp integrates into IGEL, providing visibility into the endpoint. This provides the capability to see how the endpoint itself is performing.

VMblog speaks with Brian Martynowicz of LoginVSI during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

LoginVSI and IGEL have partnered and integrated their two products. Login Enterprise (formerly Login PI) is now fully integrated into IGEL OS 11.03.

This integration gives IGEL customers the ability to test from the same hardware and locations of their remote users. Doing this “end-to-end testing” without breaking the chain of trust, will maximize the performance and availability on all IGEL OS-powered endpoints, ensuring application and desktop performance.

LG at IGEL DISRUPT 2020

VMblog speaks with Phillip Johnson of LG during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

LG showed off and discussed their newest suite of cloud monitor solutions, including Zero Client and Thin Client displays, designed with the IT professional in mind. They have a NEW 24-inch and 38-inch AIO Thin Client endpoint devices and a Thin Client Box. Every LG Thin Client provides a secure, reliable and cost-efficient virtual desktop experience that's easy to implement and manage.

LG is also partnering with IGEL, showing their products which complements IGEL's OS solution. The IGEL operating system resides on the LG end point devices which they sell to the channel. And they also have a new integrated technology to help with the Healthcare industry.

VMblog speaks with Mike Walsh of CloudJumper during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

CloudJumper has a long history of success in the application and desktop virtualization technology space serving thousands of businesses and 10s of thousands of applications. Their software solution is called Cloud Workspace Management Suite (CWMS). CWMS is a VDI & RDS orchestration and management alternative.

CloudJumper's Cloud Workstation Management Suite (CWMS) and Universal Management Suite (UMS) are complementary control planes. CWMS handles the provisioning and management of Windows Virtual Desktop, while UMS handles the provisioning and management of IGEL endpoints.

VMblog speaks with Bruce Schneider of QUMU during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Qumu provides a best-in-class platform to create, manage, secure, distribute and measure the success of live and on demand video for the intelligent enterprise. VMblog speaks with Stephen Turnbull of AMD during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

AMD is most famous for their PC processors, high performance graphic cards, and their server processors. But they also work with IGEL, providing them with very high performance compute and low power, to help maintain a good balance for IGEL customers. And they also provide multi-screen high resolution graphics natively on the chip.

VMblog speaks with Nabeel Youakim of Citrix during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Citrix has been around for more than 30 years, helping to define the end user computing space. Nabeel talks about Citrix and their partnership with IGEL who have their own set of supported thin client devices and management software. Citrix has also been partnering with and working with Microsoft for a very long time, from Terminal Services to Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), and working to improve end user productivity.

Nabeel continues the discussion by talking about Citrix Workspace and the new Intellience for Citrix Workspace.

VMblog speaks with Geoff Hixon of Lakeside Software during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Geoff talked about the latest version of their product, SysTrack 9.0, which provides powerful new ways to leverage SysTrack's data collection including new AIOps features like predictive analytics, self-healing, and Windows Evergreen analytics.

Their partnership with IGEL is twofold. For customers interested in thin clients, they've developed a joint report that shows you the current composition of your environment and identifies users whose requirements would be well-suited to thin client devices. Additionally, the SysTrack agent is baked in to IGEL OS, enabling customers to see what is happening within these endpoints including information on key metrics like CPU, memory, disk usage, latency, and more.
