VMworld 2019 Q&A: Veeam will Showcase their Cloud Data Management Solutions and the Latest Features of Veeam Availability Suite at Booth 627

Written by

Are you attending VMworld 2019 in San Francisco, CA?  If so, I invite you to add Veeam to your MUST SEE list of vendors.

With so many vendors exhibiting at VMworld, how do you know which booths to visit and who to get on your busy schedule?  For us, that's simple... Veeam.  VMblog has been following Veeam for over a decade.  Their Hyper-Availability Platform is one of the most complete solutions around that helps customers on the journey to automating data management and ensuring the Hyper-Availability of data.  Just ask their more than 355,000 customers worldwide!

Read this exclusive pre-show interview with Veeam to learn what they have planned for the upcoming VMworld 2019 event.

VMblog:  As a VMworld 2019 sponsor, how can people find you this year?

Veeam:  Look for the biggest, brightest, GREEN booth. That's an easy way to find Veeam.

VMblog:  What is your booth #?

Veeam:  627.

VMblog:  What sponsorship level are you?

Veeam:  We'll be sponsoring our 12th year at VMworld as Platinum.

VMblog:  How big of a booth do you have?

Veeam:  30x30.

VMblog:  How many people do you plan on sending?

Veeam:  Close to 100 of our best Veeam'ers are heading to San Francisco to engage with our customers, prospects and partners about our leading backup solutions that deliver Cloud Data Management.

VMblog:  Is there anything unique about this year's booth setup?  Do you have a theme?

Veeam:  We are so excited to show off our new booth at VMworld! It's custom-built using 6" square aluminum box tube and finished in a durable white pebble powder coat. LED curtain technology allows for large scale motion graphics and text and 25mm pixel pitch strips allow for approximately 60% transparency so that visitors can "see through" the curtains and into the booth. Each LED wall is double-sided, enabling different messaging on the inside and outside of the booth. Media servers provide multiple messaging options on any wall, with ultimate flexibility to change or vary messaging on a real-time basis. Demos are equipped with 50" all-in-one touchscreen monitors, as well as working whiteboards. The theatre includes seating for up to 20 people.  A/V hardware includes an 85" all-in-one touchscreen monitor, and digital sound system c/w wireless microphones.

VMblog:  Can you give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique?

Veeam:  Flexibility and portability. For VMware environments being able to perform instant VM recovery and restore directly to VMware Cloud on AWS, or other multi-cloud platforms, is a key driver.

VMblog:  Why should a VMworld attendee add you to their MUST SEE list?

Veeam:  We will have amazing booth giveaways, interactive product demos, and our legendary VMworld party Tuesday night, featuring Andy Grammer.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?  What should attendees expect to see and hear at your booth?

Veeam:  We will be showcasing our leading backup solutions that enable Cloud Data Management, specifically the latest features of Veeam® Availability SuiteTM which delivers Availability for ALL workloads - virtual, physical and cloud.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the VMware ecosystem?

Veeam:  Veeam created the VMware backup market and has dominated it for the last decade. Veeam has been a VMware partner since our very beginning. As an Independent Software Vendor, we provide a better Availability experience for the data centers where VMware (and other technologies) run. This is a strong partnership. This can be seen by our VMware vSAN certification, support for VMware Cloud on AWS, and other new offerings from VMware. All continue to show our commitment to deep integration with VMware; arguably the very best for our space.

VMblog:  What are you looking forward to most at VMworld this year?

Veeam:  Meeting and networking with customers and partners with a like-minded perspective. VMworld is one of the greatest technology conferences of the year and having the opportunity to spend time with customers and partners is a great opportunity for real feedback and discussion, and this is also a great also gives Veeam an ideal time for us to stay ‘thank you.'

VMblog:  What would you say to prospective attendees who are thinking about attending VMworld but aren't sure if it's worth it or not?

Veeam:  There is no event that has a more concentrated data center ecosystem present. If data center technologies from many vendors make up a prospective attendee's responsibilities, this is the event to choose.

VMblog:  What do you think we need to do collectively as an ecosystem to strengthen the industry?

Veeam:  More APIs and more integration.

VMblog:  Do you have any tips for first time attendees of VMworld that you'd like to share?

Veeam:  Wear comfy shoes. You spend all day on your feet walking between buildings and session rooms and comfy shoes are a must!

VMblog:  Attendees always enjoy a good trade show tchotchke.  Are you guys giving away anything special or interesting this year?

Veeam:  We are giving away a phone Roomba at our booth. We are also raffling 2 full-sized Roombas and, who doesn't want a Veeam t-shirt?

VMblog:  Does your company have any speaking sessions during the show?  If so, can you give us the who, what, when and where?

Veeam:  Yes, we will have 2 speaking sessions:
