Are you attending Citrix Synergy 2018 in Anaheim, CA?  If so, I invite you to add NComputing to your MUST SEE list of vendors.

With so many vendors exhibiting at Citrix Synergy this year, how do you know which booths to visit and who to get on your busy schedule?  One of the companies on VMblog's MUST SEE list this year is NComputing.  The company has a mission to provide affordable and powerful thin client solutions to enterprise customers.  They've been around the desktop virtualization industry since 2003, helping to remove the barriers through a unique formula of simplicity, performance and value.

Read this exclusive pre-show interview with NComputing to learn what they have planned for the upcoming Synergy 2018 event.

VMblog:  As a Citrix Synergy 2018 sponsor, give us the rundown of your booth setup this year.  Who will be there?  How can we find you?

NComputing:  NComputing will be in the Expo Hall at Booth #507.

Young Song our CEO, Richard Sah our CTO and our whole executive team will attend.  We view Synergy as our most important show of the year and, with the introduction of the Citrix Ready workspace hub by NComputing, we are even more excited.  Please stop by and get a demo of the RX-HDX Next Generation thin client and see it run the Citrix Ready workspace hub software.

VMblog:  Anything new that you are announcing?

NComputing:  We have been associated with Citrix for 7 years and, for us, this year is far and away the year with the biggest announcement.  Citrix and NComputing will be launching the Citrix Ready workspace hub by NComputing based on the NComputing RX-HDX.  It is the Next Generation thin client.  Your Smartphone is now your Workspace.  By developing this new technology, Citrix and NComputing will offer a thin client platform that will offer improved security, a better user experience at 1/3 the cost. It really is an amazing offering for Citrix Workspace customers.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?

NComputing:  We will be demonstrating the NComputing RX-HDX Next Generation Thin Client with full thin client capability at 1/3 the cost of traditional thin clients.  We can also show the RX-HDX running the Citrix Ready workspace hub software.  NComputing can show a Smartphone running a Citrix Receiver session and that session can be roamed over to the RX-HDX via Bluetooth beaconing.  The really cool thing is that once that Smartphone is out of range, the session on the RX-HDX is terminated.  No more log in/log out.  This is more secure as it doesn't rely on the user to log out.  It is also easier on the front end as there is no log in.

VMblog:  Give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique.

NComputing:  RX-HDX is a breakthrough in thin client technology.

First, it is a full function thin client at 1/3 the price.  Incredible value.  If you want to cut your TCO of a Citrix environment, it is simple.

Then there are the features - session roaming, screen casting and proximity authentication.  Please stop by the booth and get a demo.

Another critical feature is the alliance with Citrix.  Citrix and NComputing are partners in developing the Citrix Ready workspace hub by NComputing running on the RX-HDX.  As Citrix continues to add new features to the workspace hub product, all that code will run on the RX-HDX.  That is why we call the RX-HDX the Next Generation thin client.  It is already on a par or better today than traditional thin clients but will continue to improve because of the backing of Citrix.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the Citrix ecosystem?

NComputing:  NComputing is one of Citrix's key partners and Citrix is NComputing's key partner.  Together we have developed the Citrix Ready workspace hub, starting with Citrix porting their Receiver to our RX-HDX platform.  This gives Citrix an established thin client vendor as a partner for their workspace hub offering.  We could just sell our thin client based on price which is 1/3 of traditional thin clients, but a true Next Generation thin client isn't just a low price.  We worked with Citrix to push the envelope on both price and features.

VMblog:  Does your company have any speaking sessions during the show?  If so, can you give us the who, what, when and where?

NComputing:  NComputing will be at the presentation given by Citrix to launch the Citrix Ready workspace hub product.  As the NComputing RX-HDX is a key cog in that offering, NComputing will be part of that presentation.  SYN230 will be on May 9, 11:30 a.m. - 12:15pm in Room ACC, Level 3, Ballroom B.

VMblog:  Why should a Synergy attendee add you to their MUST SEE list?

NComputing:  The most important new product from Citrix at Synergy this year is the Citrix Ready workspace hub.  The Citrix Ready workspace hub is a revolutionary product. It is the future; the office of the future, the bank of the future, the retail store of the future and the healthcare facility of the future.   All are based on the Citrix Ready workspace hub and NComputing's RX-HDX.  You have to see how your Smartphone is now your Workspace and how it can seamlessly transition to running a session on our thin client.  It is must see.

VMblog:  What message should an attendee take back with them to their boss after visiting your booth? How can they internally sell your technology?

NComputing:  NComputing's RX-HDX is an amazing value.  It is a full thin client at 1/3 the cost of traditional thin clients with exceptional device management software included.  Also, in the future, your Smartphone is now your Workspace with all the benefits and cost savings that will come with that paradigm change.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?

NComputing:  We will have our NComputing RX-HDX with the Citrix Ready workspace hub on it.  We will have a Smartphone running Citrix Receiver and when that Smartphone gets into a specific range, the Smartphone will transfer a Workspace session to an RX-HDX thin client.  It is very cool.  You can see a session running on a Smartphone having the screen being screencasted to a large screen via the RX-HDX.  Then you can see the session end when the Smartphone leaves a specified distance.  It is must see.

VMblog:  What are you looking forward to most at this year's event?

NComputing:  We are looking forward to meeting our customers and prospects and showing off our RX-HDX thin client.  We are excited about the official release of Citrix Ready workspace hub.  We have partnered for one year with Citrix on the product and its release.  It has been a lot of hard work but when you see it, it is amazing.  We are extremely excited.
