VMblog: If you were giving a VMware Explore attendee a quick overview of the company, what would you say?  How would you describe the company?

Stratodesk: Stratodesk is the leading innovator of the most secure, Linux-based OS, giving IT teams robust endpoint security and full manageability of employee endpoint OS. Stratodesk NoTouch OS provides the flexibility to choose your endpoint hardware, workspace solution, cloud or on-premises deployment, and a flexible cost consumption model to provide an exceptional work experience for employees.

Today, with one million licenses deployed globally across the leading brands in every industry, Stratodesk prides itself on its authenticity and dedication to delivering the most innovative OS software solution to its customers.

VMblog: As a VMware Explore 2023 sponsor, what does that sponsorship look like?  Will you have a large delegation at this year's event?  Do you have a theme for your booth?  Do you have anything interesting planned at your booth?

Stratodesk: Stratodesk is proud to be an Exhibitor Plus sponsor this year, and we welcome all to come visit us at booth #209. We have Vegas-themed treats for anyone who stops by, and we're giving hats to anyone who chats with us or views a demo (while supplies last). We're also participating in the Hall Crawl where we'll be serving beer and wine for attendees.

VMblog: What made your company sponsor VMware Explore this year?

Stratodesk: We've been a VMware Explore/VMworld sponsor for many years now. Last year we were awarded 1st place by TechTarget in the category "Security, Networking and Edge at VMware Explore.   We like to connect with VMware customers, especially those using VMware Horizon. Typically, VMware Horizon users are focused on easy, secure, streamlined access to their cloud workspace, and as a close VMware technology partner, Stratodesk enables IT teams with easy management and deployment of Horizon at the endpoint. Many VMware explore attendees use other cloud/VDI products in addition to VMware. Since we are hardware and platform agnostic, we can also demonstrate how we work with these products and answer their questions.

VMblog: What keeps you coming back to this event?

Stratodesk: We are a key player in the EUC space when it comes to securing the endpoints that launch to the leading cloud workspace solutions. As a well-integrated VMware partner, we are complementary to the solutions that VMware customers already utilize and love, which makes VMware Explore one of our most important events.

VMblog: Do you have any speaking sessions during the event?  If so, can you give us the details?

Stratodesk: Yes, we are excited to share that our VP of Solutions Engineering, Rich Severson, is invited to speak at the session: Retail Store Modernization (INDB1270LV). We have a close technology partnership with VMware's Retail Industry solutions, and together we're revolutionizing Point of Sales (POS) solutions globally for retailers. VMblog: What are you personally most interested in seeing or learning at VMware Explore?

Stratodesk: We are interested in learning which vendors are bringing new security solutions to market, particularly MFA and other endpoint security technologies. We also would like to see VMware's perspective on the future of the EUC industry.

VMblog: Can you give us the high-level rundown of your company's technology offerings?  What kind of message will an attendee hear from you this year?

Stratodesk: Stratodesk NoTouch (NoTouch OS and NoTouch Center) is the most innovative and robust endpoint platform. The Linux-based NoTouch OS is a security-fortified endpoint operating system powering PCs, thin clients, laptops, and even the Raspberry Pi, delivering access to any cloud workspace or DaaS/VDI solution.

NoTouch Center is the endpoint control center deploying, managing, and securing all NoTouch powered devices. For any attendee looking to easily manage their employee endpoint.

VMblog: Talking about your NoTouch solutions, can you give readers a few examples of how your offerings are unique?  What sets you apart from the competition?

Stratodesk: Today's midsize or enterprise organizations often have many different hardware types, different OS versions, some in-office, some entirely remote. System Administrators and Help Desks are constantly working on updates, security patches, device troubleshooting, deployment for new employees, antivirus subscriptions, etc.  Stratodesk simplifies endpoint management by unifying the endpoints and giving a single pane of glass (NoTouch Center platform) so Sys Admins and Help Desks can easily take care of employee endpoints with little to no downtime.

VMblog: What specifically does your company offer a VMware shop or a VMware implementation?  What problems do you solve for them?

Stratodesk: We have a close technology partnership with VMware, and we are a VMware Ready partner. Our award-winning solution, Stratodesk NoTouch is designed to empower VMware Horizon customers with the necessary tools to easily manage the endpoints used to launch VMware Horizon. Some of the benefits include: swiftly resolve issues, increase endpoint security, proactively decrease ticket volume, and reduce hardware costs and associated management costs.

VMblog: How does your company work with VMware?  Where do you fit within the VMware ecosystem?

Stratodesk: In addition to our tight technology integration with VMware Horizon, we also work closely with VMware's Retail and Healthcare industry solutions. For large retailers, we are placed on the POS (Point of Sale) endpoints that launch directly to VMware's retail cloud solutions. In healthcare, we work with VMware to provide secure, instant access to patient data without it ever being stored directly on the endpoint itself. Learn more about our joint solutions with VMware at the following web pages:

VMblog:  VMworld has typically been a launching platform for new products.  Have you launched anything new recently that you can spotlight for us?

Stratodesk: Our new NoTouch Flex service provides Stratodesk's managed and secure operating system for new or existing endpoints accessing corporate workspaces on-premises and in the cloud - turning any PC into a cloud PC. CIOs have faced challenges with restrictive SaaS endpoint solutions that force them to abandon on-premises IT investments, limit technology choices or lock in annual subscriptions. Unlike other solutions, Stratodesk makes it easy for organizations to migrate from legacy infrastructure to the cloud or to fully embrace the cloud - all at their own pace. The flexibility that our NoTouch Flex solution offers is revolutionizing the way businesses are accessing their workspaces. We are also currently working with AuthX to provide increased security.

VMblog: VMware gets the big stage to deliver their message during the keynote sessions.  If you were giving the keynote, what big topics would you discuss?  What big changes or trends do you see taking shape in the industry for 2023 and beyond?

Stratodesk: Stratodesk has over 10 years of experience providing technically advanced and cost-effective solutions in the EUC space driving value and security for customers.

The key topics we would focus on for our customers are:

  • Optimization of Hybrid Work options and architectures
  • Transition of corporate workspaces to the cloud
  • The use of Linux in endpoints

VMblog: Are you giving away any prizes at your booth or participating in any prize giveaways?

Stratodesk: Yes! We will be hosting a "passport" activity with LG Electronics and ControlUp, where attendees can win one of five jackpot prizes for visiting and learning about each company's product or solution.  We will also have Stratodesk SWAG to giveaway to anyone who visits our booth. You can also join us for the Hall Crawl, where we'll be serving beer and wine to attendees. We look forward to meeting you there!
