VMblog:  If you were giving a VMware Explore attendee a quick overview of the company, what would you say?  How would you describe the company?

Jason E. Smith: Liquidware is the leader in digital workspace management solutions for Windows desktops. Our products encompass all facets of management to ensure the ultimate user experience across all Windows workspaces - physical, virtual, DaaS or in the cloud.

VMblog:  As a VMware Explore 2023 sponsor, what does that sponsorship look like?  Will you have a large delegation at this year's event?  Do you have a theme for your booth?  Do you have anything interesting planned at your booth?

Smith: We are very excited to be launching our latest product, CommandCTRLTM, at this year's VMware Explore! CommandCTRL is our brand new SaaS Real-time Remediation solution. As you might recall, we used last year's show to introduce the product and it's gone through many beta iterations to now be generally available (GA). This launch will be our focus, but we will also be showcasing our other digital workspace management solutions, including FlexAppTM - our application portability solution - StratusphereTM UX - our digital experience monitoring, analytics and diagnostics solution - and ProfileUnityTM - our user experience monitoring solution. We will also be demonstrating the latest UI of Stratusphere UX.

We will have all our EUC experts on our booth to answer any questions attendees might have about how to get the most out of their current infrastructure. As the theme for our booth this year is Get More/Save More, you can find out here how our solutions have saved our customers multiple-millions of dollars by investing in Liquidware products!

We will also have a suite at the Venetian where attendees can schedule meetings in advance with us, secure your meeting at this link: https://calendly.com/kristen-mcgargill/vmware-explore-2023-las-vegas

VMblog:  What made your company sponsor VMware Explore this year?  Why is this a must sponsor event for your company?

Smith: As VMware Horizon is one of the main platforms our solutions are deployed on; the attendees are from the type of organizations that benefit from Liquidware solutions. Being present in the solutions exchange (booth #313) provides us the opportunity to have a great dialogue with them and to highlight our unique offerings. We've always found the delegates to be of a high caliber and look forward to meeting old and new friends this year!

VMblog:  Can you give us the high-level rundown of your company's technology offerings?  What kind of message will an attendee hear from you this year?

Smith: As already mentioned we'll be focusing on Get More/Save More at this year's VMware Explore. Our digital workspace management solutions are really cost-effective to purchase but the real value in them is the type of productivity and infrastructure savings they deliver to enterprise organizations. We've so many use cases that highlight this, but here's a quick taster of what we bring to IT organizations:

  • Application Lifecycle Management - saved one customer over $285K
  • Hardware Life Extension - saved one customer nearly $2M!!
  • Software License Optimization - saved one customer over $9M!!
  • Zero Downtime Migrations - one customer realized of $1M in unproductive downtime

And there are many more. Attendees should come and talk with us about their challenges in managing their EUC environment - we are confident we will be able to help them provide better user experience of their workspace - and save them money!

VMblog:  Talking about your product solutions, can you give readers a few examples of how your offerings are unique?  What are your differentiators?  What sets you apart from the competition?

Smith: To sum up how unique we are, Gartner does not have a magic quadrant for digital workspace management! A key differentiator is that our solutions work together, whereas other vendors might provide point solutions - or you can get a basic point solution as part of the platform - but no one provides the comprehensive portfolio of management solutions for Windows workspaces that we do - fact!

VMblog:  VMworld has typically been a launching platform for new products.  At VMware Explore, will your company be announcing anything new?  If so, can you give us a sneak peek?  Or, have you launched anything new recently that you can spotlight for us?

Smith: Yes! As mentioned above, we're super excited to be launching CommandCTRL. The feature set of CommandCTRL is enormous but some key highlights are:

  • Real-time metrics data updates every three seconds
  • Real-time remediation actions speed problem identification and resolution
  • Playback-mode captures 30-days history so admins can see exactly what occurred in the environment at specific dates and times
  • ChatGPT integration for quick process identification
  • Seamless switching between physical and cloud-based desktops
  • Multi-tenant membership allows partners to be a member of customers' sites to assist with remediation

And a slew of other requested functionality. Come by our booth to learn more!

VMblog:  VMware gets the big stage to deliver their message during the keynote sessions.  If you were giving the keynote, what big topics would you discuss?  What big changes or trends do you see taking shape in the industry for 2023 and beyond?

Smith: It has to be AI. I don't know of anyone not implementing ChatGPT (or similar) into their daily work routine. We've already integrated ChatGPT into CommandCTRL to enable process identification. With this powerful addition, users can easily determine the purpose and the origin of unfamiliar processes consuming system resources. We believe AI will continue to provide greater innovation to the IT industry at large.

VMblog:  Are you giving away any prizes at your booth or participating in any prize giveaways?

Smith: We're renowned for our innovative t-shirt designs and we'll have a limited edition one for the launch of CommandCTRL - come by the booth to claim yours!

VMblog:  Is your company sponsoring any type of party or get together during the event?

Smith: We are in the final stages of organizing an event for our key customers, prospects and members of the Inside Track. Follow us on social media for further details!

VMblog:  Do you have any advice for attendees of the show?

Smith: Key tips are:

  • Get involved in the VMware eco-system in the solutions exchange.
  • Join the VMUG community, if you're not already a member!
  • Don't party too hard.
  • Wear sneakers.
  • Drink LOTS of water.
  • Oh, and visit Liquidware in booth #313!!
