ControlUp:  Booth 1725,  10*20 in size, Bronze level sponsor.  ControlUp will have a team of 10 manning the show.

VMblog:  Is there anything unique about this year's booth setup?

ControlUp:  On the fun part we will be showcasing the life of a sysadmin in a very cool VR movie using samsung gear - you gotta give it a try!

As usual we will give live demos showcasing ControlUp V7 (our latest release). We will be unveiling exciting new capabilities such as:

  • IT analytics as a Service

  • Our new powerful real time data store view

  • Cloud Integration Management with real-time costs and performance metrics for AWS cloud instances

VMblog:  Can you give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique?

ControlUp:  Our unique panoramic view of your entire virtual infrastructure, with built in troubleshooting capabilities and smart analytics and reporting.

VMblog:  Why should a VMworld attendee add you to their MUST SEE list?

ControlUp:  To see our latest upcoming version, which includes lots of great new features, such as a comprehensive Datastores view enabling fast identification and troubleshooting of storage related issues, an IT dashboard with a smart BI engine and more.

VMblog:  What do you like most about sponsoring VMworld?

ControlUp:  ControlUp was designed with its users in mind (virtualization sysadmins and architects from IT Ops teams) and it is being marketed and sold to these users. VMworld as a technical show first and foremost, as such it is a great opportunity for us to meet our users.  In addition the rise of VMware as a VDI player makes ControlUp even more relevant to participants.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?

ControlUp:  All the new features expected in the upcoming V7, an exciting tour in the life of a sysadmin in VR and lots of surprises.  We will also be showcasing our new integration capabilities with VGPUs from Nvidia in the VM and the application level.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the VMware ecosystem?

ControlUp:  VMware is one of the main components in any of our customers' ecosystems, and ControlUp allows VMware admins and Infrastructure staff to get much better control and visibility into their environments. ControlUp is also a proud sponsor of VMUG and will participate in four different VMUG events in the remainder of 2017.

VMblog:  What are you looking forward to most at VMworld this year?

ControlUp:  Showing off our new upcoming version, ControlUp V7, and meeting our customers!

VMblog:  You all have sponsored VMworld in the past.  How many times has it been?

ControlUp:  This is not ControlUp's first time at VMworld, this is our fourth consecutive year as a sponsor of the VMworld event in both the US and in Europe.  As VMware is an inseparable part of all our customers' infrastructure, we attend every year.

VMblog:  How has exhibiting at VMworld helped your company's bottom line?

ControlUp:  We have seen a considerable amount of business as result of our regular attendance at VMworld.  We hope this trend will continue and even accelerate with the new V7 which has a broader appeal to all virtualization admins and use cases.

VMblog:  Do you remember your first VMworld event?

ControlUp:  It was a great show, there was a lot of partying and we learned a lot from our customers.

VMblog:  What would you say to prospective attendees who are thinking about attending VMworld but aren't sure if it's worth it or not?

ControlUp:  If virtualization is a big part of your business, you have to be there, or you'll be missing out on your customers and on many prospects which would bring you business.

VMblog:  What do you hope to come away with from exhibiting at VMworld?

ControlUp:  Showing our customers and prospects how great our newest version is, and how much value ControlUp can bring to their organizations. Spreading the word even further about how ControlUp can add value to organizations. Staying in touch with our customers and meeting new prospects.

VMblog:  Do you have any tips for first time attendees of VMworld that you'd like to share?

ControlUp:  It's a big show so be sure to know what you're looking for and search for those vendors who have that kind of offering. Go to as many sessions as you can, these are usually technically deep and will provide a lot of value.

VMblog:  Attendees always enjoy a good trade show tchotchke.  Are you guys giving away anything special or interesting this year?

ControlUp:  Yes, we will be giving away ControlUp branded footballs.

VMblog:  Does your company have any speaking sessions during the show?  If so, can you give us the who, what, when and where?

ControlUp:  We will have a session at the VMworld Solutions Exchange Theater, Monday 8/28 11:50-12:15 titled "Combining Host and Guest Metrics to Troubleshoot and Manage Virtual Environments"  with live demo, presented by ControlUp CTO Yoni Avital.

Also, we will be holding a talk at the NVIDIA Theater, Booth #531, Monday 8/28 at 2:45 PM "Real-time Visibility for NVIDIA GRID GPUs".

VMblog:  Are you guys throwing or involved with any type of party during the week of the event?

ControlUp:  Not this year.
