VMblog speaks with Stephen Turnbull of AMD during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

AMD is most famous for their PC processors, high performance graphic cards, and their server processors. But they also work with IGEL, providing them with very high performance compute and low power, to help maintain a good balance for IGEL customers. And they also provide multi-screen high resolution graphics natively on the chip.

VMblog speaks with Nabeel Youakim of Citrix during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Citrix has been around for more than 30 years, helping to define the end user computing space. Nabeel talks about Citrix and their partnership with IGEL who have their own set of supported thin client devices and management software. Citrix has also been partnering with and working with Microsoft for a very long time, from Terminal Services to Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), and working to improve end user productivity.

Nabeel continues the discussion by talking about Citrix Workspace and the new Intellience for Citrix Workspace.

VMblog speaks with Geoff Hixon of Lakeside Software during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Geoff talked about the latest version of their product, SysTrack 9.0, which provides powerful new ways to leverage SysTrack's data collection including new AIOps features like predictive analytics, self-healing, and Windows Evergreen analytics.

Their partnership with IGEL is twofold. For customers interested in thin clients, they've developed a joint report that shows you the current composition of your environment and identifies users whose requirements would be well-suited to thin client devices. Additionally, the SysTrack agent is baked in to IGEL OS, enabling customers to see what is happening within these endpoints including information on key metrics like CPU, memory, disk usage, latency, and more.

VMblog speaks with Andrew Parlette of Tricerat during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Tricerat's printing technology adapts to a wide variety of environments including remote desktop, physical desktop, cloud applications, print server printing, direct printing, client printing, mobile, and more. ScrewDrivers solves time-consuming challenges for administrators through the simple management console and delivers high performance and consistent printing to end users. The ability to dynamically build the right printer based on user and device gives the best possible user experience and reduces print waste.

Combining Tricerat's printing solutions with IGEL's centralization of endpoint management, admins can effectively manage all aspects of the user environment. Tricerat manages printing in all EUC environments including VDI and WVD, and user printing can be managed in the remote desktop for network printers or utilize local printers connected to an IGEL client using the ScrewDrivers Linux Client. For dynamic printer assignments, printers can be assigned to users based on the IGEL client in use along with the group memberships for the user.

VMblog speaks with Jed Ayres of IGEL during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Jed Ayres, co-CEO of IGEL, talks to VMblog about the growth of the company over the last four years, growing from 60M in revenue to more than 150M this year. Jed also talks about the shift in the market and the naming of the event, intead of speaking in terms of end user computing, now talking about things in terms of cloud workspaces. Jed also talks about the power of Windows Virtual Desktops (WVD) and how IGEL is working with partners like Microsoft, Citrix, Amazon and VMware. Jed covers so much more, and describes what's coming next in Germany as they bring DISRUPT to Munich in the coming days.

VMblog speaks with Jason Smith of Liquidware during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Jason Smith talks about the path that Liquidware has taken to help its customers onboard their next generation desktop. That has evolved from VDI to cloud based desktops and native Windows Virtual Desktops (WVD). They help with assessment, move user profiles or user personas over, and deliver applications with a zero downtime migration.

Jason also talks about how Liquidware partners and works with IGEL. Liquidware's agent is now fully integrated into the IGEL firmware, which allows them to see the last mile of the end point.

VMblog speaks with Stacy Leidwinger of Goliath Technologies during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Goliath Technologies helps organizations around the globe anticipate, troubleshoot and prevent end-user experience issues regardless of where their IT workloads or users are located.

They have transformed their customer IT teams from being reactive to proactive by anticipating performance issues before end users are ever impacted. And they offer purpose-built modules for EHR applications (Allscripts, Cerner, Epic, and MEDITECH) and can isolate the root cause of poor performance for clinicians regardless if the issue resides in the underlying IT delivery stack, EHR application, or end-user behavior.

VMblog speaks with Brian Lowe of Teradici during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Teradici is the protocol communication choice for VMware, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon Workspaces, etc. And because they were designed for a workstation environment, they are able to get massive amounts of data into the cloud, especially for applications in media and entertainment and the federal government where there are a lot of graphics involved. They are vendor neutral, so customers can move in the multi-cloud environment from one application or one cloud to another, or even on premises. Watch and learn more about how they are partnering and working with IGEL.

VMblog speaks with Nico Zieck of Liquit during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Liquit technology enables enterprises and service providers to connect to and aggregate all applications from all workspace backends (Citrix. VMWare, WVD, etc.). By doing so Liquit delivers a customized and consistent end user experience, regardless of where their applications reside. The unique smart icon decides dynamically where to start the application based upon the end user's location, device and profile rights. Liquit simplifies system administration and workspace management. Liquit accelerates the adoption of cloud by quickly connecting to an existing platform and allowing the backend to be streamlined or migrated as desired, without any impact on the end-user. The cost, complexity and connectivity inhibitors that keep you or your customers from going to the cloud are resolved.

VMblog speaks with Scott Manchester of Microsoft during the IGEL DISRUPT 2020 event in Nashville, TN.

Scott talks about the work that Microsoft has done with IGEL and the rest of the industry on Windows Virtual Desktop and highlights some of the opportunities they have with the partner program for WVD. Scott provides more information around his DISRUPT keynote presentation as well as how Microsoft is partnering with IGEL and how they are embedding things into the IGEL OS, native end point devices and UD Pocket.
