With so many vendors exhibiting at Citrix Synergy this year, how do you know which booths to visit and who to get on your busy schedule? One of the companies on VMblog's list this year is IGEL Technologies. I've been following them for many years. There's a lot going on at the company, and they recently kicked off a fantastic EUC event called DisruptEUC which took place in San Jose.
IGEL is the world leader in providing software-defined endpoint optimization and control solutions for cloud and virtualized workspaces. The company’s world-leading software products include IGEL OS™, IGEL UD Pocket™ (UDP) and Universal Management Suite™ (UMS). These solutions comprise a more secure, manageable and cost-effective endpoint management and control platform across nearly any x86 device.
Read this exclusive pre-show interview between VMblog and Jed Ayres of IGEL to learn what the company has planned for the upcoming Synergy 2019 event.

VMblog speaks with Doug Brown during the IGEL Disrupt 2019 event in San Jose, CA.
Doug Brown is well known in the EUC, Citrix and virtualization space, and he has created quite a following over many years with DABCC. With his job as a technology evangelist at IGEL, Doug has been tasked with creating a community, which is no simple thing to do. Doug talks about the lessons learned along the way, but also celebrates the success he has had with building out the latest IGEL community on Slack. IGEL has happy employees, happy customers and happy partners. And now, they have happy community members who can be active and engaging or maybe just look around for answers to help solve one of their work challenges. Either way, it is free to become a member.

VMblog speaks with PrinterLogic during the IGEL Disrupt 2019 event in San Jose, CA.
PrinterLogic helps IT professionals eliminate all print servers and deliver a highly available serverless print infrastructure. With PrinterLogic’s centrally managed direct IP printing platform, customers empower their end users with mobile printing, secure release printing, and many advanced features that legacy print management applications can’t provide. PrinterLogic’s enterprise print management software allows users to install centrally managed direct IP printers on IGEL users' endpoint devices.
PrinterLogic's centrally managed direct IP printing solution can be configured on any IGEL OS-powered endpoint. This capability enables print jobs to be sent directly from the endpoint device to the printer, easing overall printer management in addition to increasing end-user productivity.
