CitrixSynergy 2018 Q&A: StorMagic Showcases Its SvSAN Low Cost Hyperconverged Solutions for Edge Environments at Booth 503

Written by

Are you attending Citrix Synergy 2018 in Anaheim, CA?  If so, I invite you to add StorMagic to your MUST SEE list of vendors.

With so many vendors exhibiting at Citrix Synergy this year, how do you know which booths to visit and who to g et on your busy schedule?  One of the companies on VMblog's list this year is StorMagic.  StorMagic makes virtual SANs simple for edge computing.  StorMagic SvSAN removes the need for a physical SAN in some of the world's most demanding environments by converting the disk, flash and memory of two servers into a virtual SAN.

Read this exclusive pre-show interview between VMblog and StorMagic to learn what they have planned for the upcoming Synergy 2018 event.

VMblog:  As a Citrix Synergy 2018 sponsor, give us the rundown of your booth setup this year.

StorMagic:  StorMagic is  a bronze sponsor of this year's event, we're on booth #503, just south of the Citrix stand. Make sure you pop by the booth and meet the team: Bruce Kornfeld, CMO; John Glendenning, SVP Sales & Business Development; Conner Volpe, Field Sales Executive and Lee Bushen, Partner Enablement Manager.

VMblog:  What message should an attendee take back with them to their boss after visiting your booth? How can they internally sell your technology?

StorMagic:  Deploying Citrix workloads at edge sites can be time-consuming and expensive. StorMagic's virtual SAN software helps partners and users build simple, cost-effective and flexible hyperconverged appliances that are ready to run Citrix. We'll be making an exciting announcement at Synergy that makes the deployment and management process even easier - watch this space!

VMblog:  Why should a Synergy attendee add you to their MUST SEE list?

StorMagic:  StorMagic is launching something very exciting at the show, in partnership with Cisco. All will be revealed at the StorMagic booth at Citrix Synergy on May 7th.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?

StorMagic:  In addition to getting the chance to meet the awesome StorMagic team, you'll be able to see a live demo of Citrix workloads running on a hyperconverged appliance and get a feel for how this might work in your environment.

Feeling hands on? Demos of the new StorMagic/ Cisco offering will also be running in the booth.

VMblog:  Give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique.

StorMagic:  StorMagic SvSAN enables the lowest cost hyperconverged solutions that are perfect for edge environments. Our software-defined storage solution  only requires two servers with very little CPU/memory and supports any type of storage, to ensure high-availability. Our remote witness only requires 9kbs bandwith <add end user benefit of the feature delivers here- speed of network etc>. If you need low-cost HCI for Citrix workloads at small / remote sites - come talk to us.

VMblog:  How does your company and product fit within the Citrix ecosystem?

StorMagic:  Our software is "Citrix-ready" and the announcement next week will also include new partnership status.

VMblog:  What do you hope to come away with from exhibiting at Synergy?  What does event success look like to you?

StorMagic:  The StorMagic team hopes to meet as many of the Synergy attendees as possible so we can learn about your individual Citrix requirements. We'll also be involved with strategic partnership meetings with Citrix, Cisco and other technology providers throughout the event. Look forward to seeing you there!
