Q&A: Lakeside Software Showcases SysTrack and End User Analytics at #CitrixSynergy 2016 - Booth 824

Written by

As part of VMblog's live Citrix Synergy 2016 coverage coming up later this month, we're getting our schedule ready to learn as much as we can, as quickly as we can.  Citrix Synergy is always packed with great information coming from various breakout sessions, networking sessions, keynotes and more!  But one of the places we always learn a lot is in the Solutions Expo where valuable vendors from the Citrix ecosystem setup shop to display their wares.

But with so many vendors exhibiting at the show, how do you know who to get on your schedule? And which booths to visit?

I was glad to hear that Lakeside Software was going to be sponsoring the event again this year.  For many years now, I've had the great pleasure of being briefed by this company and being exposed to their flagship product, SysTrack.

Lakeside Software transforms the way that enterprises deploy, manage, secure, improve, and report on end user experience by coupling the world's most lightweight agent with a robust data analysis engine to instantly grant complete visibility and control to administrators without impacting end user experience.Lakeside empowers EUC teams with comprehensive end user analytics and endpoint telemetry, enabling them to optimize user experience, mitigate risk, minimize cost, automate operational tasks, and make better decisions.

Are you going to Synergy?  If so, I invite you to get Lakeside Software on your "must see" list.  Want to learn more?  Check out this interview to learn about what they have planned for the upcoming Citrix Synergy 2016 event.

VMblog:  Your company is sponsoring Citrix Synergy 2016.  Do you know where your booth will be located?  How can we find you?

Lakeside:  Lakeside is a bronze sponsor this year with an 8.6' x 5' turnkey booth.  Our booth number is 824.  Look forward to seeing you!

VMblog:  Is there anything interesting or unique about this year's booth setup?

Lakeside:  Last year we found that our most positive conversations happened outside the booth, so we reconfigured our sponsorship approach to focus on roaming vs persistence. We're also sponsoring the M7 party which looks to be the best one yet.

VMblog:  If an attendee likes what they see and hear at your booth, what message about your product can you send them back with to sell their boss on your technology?

Lakeside:  With our new no cost Citrix Healthcheck, you can easily find and address issues with your Citrix environment as well as uncover non-virtualized applications which are ripe for virtualization.

VMblog:  With so many vendors exhibiting at Synergy this year, why should an attendee put you on their MUST SEE list?

Lakeside:  We're showing some amazing things this year, we usually save our biggest announcement for Synergy, and we promise not to disappoint!

VMblog:  What do you like most about sponsoring Citrix Synergy?  Why is this a must sponsor event for your company?

Lakeside:  Citrix Synergy is our kind of show because it's filled with "doers" - People who know the operational ins and outs of end user computing, they understand the value proposition of SysTrack and end user analytics: End user experience management, asset optimization, and service desk augmentation all have tangible, valuable benefits across the entire IT stack, but our evangelists are usually the technical administrators who use SysTrack on a daily basis.

VMblog:  Can you give VMblog readers a sneak peek as to what you will be showing off at your booth this year?

Lakeside:  The biggest announcement we're making is the availability of Citrix Healthcheck, a cloud-based version of SysTrack that helps people get the most out of the Citrix investment.

VMblog:  Give readers a few reasons why your product or service is considered unique.

Lakeside:  We are the leaders in End User Analytics, which is an increasingly important component of IT as services move away from the datacenter and users move away from corporate managed networks. SysTrack is the only tool which can effectively answer questions such as:

  • When do we need to upgrade a user's platform?
  • Can the user be migrated to a new operating system?
  • When can we retire an application?
  • What impact will a system upgrade or replacement have?
  • Are employee's applications performing well?
  • And ultimately, do we have objective measures on the quality of IT services we are receiving and delivering?

VMblog:  Attendees always enjoy a good trade show tchotchke.  Are you guys giving away anything special or interesting this year?

Lakeside:  Yes, we'll have some cool shirts.

VMblog:  I like it... admin wear!  Does your company have any speaking sessions during the show?  If so, can you give us the who, what, when and where?

Lakeside:  Yes.

VMblog:  Are you guys throwing any type of party during the week of the event?

Lakeside:  We're co-sponsoring the M7 party, it's going to be epic!

VMblog:  I've heard good things about the M7 party.  What are you guys looking forward to most at Synergy this year?

Lakeside:  Seeing our partners and customers, of course.

VMblog:  I know this isn't your first Synergy event as a sponsor.  Tell us, how many times have you sponsored before?

Lakeside:  Believe it or not we've sponsored every single Citrix Synergy for the last 18 years, going back to the iForum days.

VMblog:  Wow!  18 years is a long time.  As a Synergy expert, what would you say to prospective attendees who are thinking about attending Synergy but aren't sure if it's worth it or not?

Lakeside:  It's a great way to meet the people who make the software you built your career around.

VMblog:  What do you hope to come away with from exhibiting at Synergy?  What does event success look like to you?

Lakeside:  We hope to connect with our customers and continue to build relationships with members of the Citrix community.

VMblog:  Finally, do you have any tips for first time attendees of Synergy that you'd like to share?

Lakeside:  Yes, find the Lakeside booth and get a demo of SysTrack. It's a life altering experience ;)

Pretty cool stuff, right?  If you are lucky enough to make it out to Synergy this year in Las Vegas, make sure to visit Lakeside at Booth #824.  Go ask for your demo of SysTrack!
